I think that most of us have seen new shooters come out and shoot the (fresh) pins with their 9mm pistols. It only gets worse for them as the pins pick up a pound or two of lead. Then they show up the next week and all subsequent weeks with .45s.

I see it as a parallel to the 5.56 bowling pin thing. There is theory and there is reality. When they clash, the theorist loses.
