The Hearing Protection Act, HR3799, would remove firearm silencers from the purview of the National Firearms Act of 1934. Upon passage, any forms filed after Oct. 15, 2015 would be eligible for a refund of the cost of the tax stamp. It is my understanding that all other silencers currently in the process of transfer would be eligible for immediate transfer on a 4473 like any other title 1 firearm.

What do you think a change in the law will do to the "solvent catcher" conversion to suppressor angle?
