    I'll whittle up some lumber for the fire, what's a good length for y'alls pit? I can cut it to whatever works best.

    Id' say 4 or 5 feet would still leave plenty of room in it for moving wood around as needed. 'could probably go 7 or 8 in a pinch.
    I'd rather be lucky than good, but I'd rather KNOW I'm good than HOPE to get lucky.
