Near as I can figure from this train wreck, the can was $75? Do you file the paperwork or the buyer?
Since the big thing lately is getting forms off before the rule change, I'd just like to reiterate that these cans that are available can have their paperwork filed immediately.
So was there or was there not a $75 dollar can in this thread somewhere? :chinscratch:
Will that raider go on an A2 FH or does it have it's own thread and collet and that replaces the muzzle comp?
Shut up grown folks are trying to talk......Quote:
it was $48 and you'll have to buy it from Tack
Tack I'll take it.
I already sold it back to Greg at a 7% markup. It's called the lonestein shuffle.
Well the only thing we know for sure about this suppressor. The ATF has made more money from it than anyone else.
Fruck......and here I thought the NFA paperwork was going to be the hard part :headslap:
Greg, if this is really a thing PM me I'm interested.
It is not a thing. I have an unused aluminum Mite and an unused Wells Custom Nomad.
Yeah, that was the raider I was talking about earlier. Good can, steel, 6 inches, 24 oz, threads onto 1/2x28. If it were a QD, I would have already wrapped it up like Ray Rice in an elevator.
Question.....If I have an 11.5" AR upper and put a 6"long can on it and pin it is that still an SBR?
Save me 86 posts worth of digging, how much is that can?
MillerMatic it Outlaw.
Yep I can TIG it and be just as legal
I would caution you to actually check on the legality of welding a can to a shorter barrel to attain the 16" bbl length, rather than take my word for it. But if you just want to give me money and worry about that shit later, that's cool too.
It doesn't have to be a weld, it can be a 1100 degree silver solder instead, I believe.
Y'all are going to get Outlaw ass raped.
I don't play no jail give up the booty shit......
Welding (or 1000 degree silver solder as Dale mentioned) a suppressor to a barrel under the length of 16" only requires the initial tax stamp of the can and not as an SBR, as long as the total length of the combined elements are 16+". This would be considered as "integrally suppressed". If it is welded it cannot be spot welded, but must me a continuous bead around the the connection.
AWC Raider sold. Aluminum Mite and wells custom Nomad still available.
I've got a demo Silencerco 45 Osprey I can move. $500 plus tax.
Still have the Wells Custom Nomad 22lr silencer as well.
What is the thread pattern on the Osprey?
.578x28, but you can get other pistons for it.
Hi.
Well, hello.
I'm not sure. I might have another one. I'll check and get back to you.
I've still got the 45 Osprey demo and the Wells Custom Nomad 22 silencer if anyone is interested.
Also, if anyone bought anything and hasn't filed their paperwork, please do so. If you need new forms, let me know.
I want a new toy. Make an offer on the 45 Osprey.
Holding out to see how HPA goes......
If it passes you don't have to wait anymore and the money you sent for the stamp is refunded
Are they actually talking of repealing it?
The Hearing Protection Act, HR3799, would remove firearm silencers from the purview of the National Firearms Act of 1934. Upon passage, any forms filed after Oct. 15, 2015 would be eligible for a refund of the cost of the tax stamp. It is my understanding that all other silencers currently in the process of transfer would be eligible for immediate transfer on a 4473 like any other title 1 firearm.
No clue.
The only alphabet agencies that worry me are IRS and ATF , those two enforce opinions not laws and those can change at any time.
A little more fuel for the fire:
