The .30HRT is a wildcat... it's a 6.8SPC case formed in a .30 Herret die, trimmed to length, and then fire-formed. The result is a .30 cal AR15 round that is great for deer out to about .30-30 Win range limits. The .30HRT is comparable to the 7.62x39.
With the Nosler 125gr BT and W-296, I get about 2450 FPS. I've killed two nice 8-points with no problem.
