Yeah, from ball of the foot to ball of the foot while in motion. Keeps the head from bobbing up and down, keeping the sights on target. Also allows squeezing the trigger from ball to ball while have rigid recoil abutment. Also used to keep the shooter from stepping on or in something he can't get back out of. Also keeps the shooter from stumbling over debris by sweeping foot. If he's on the heel its because he planted it. Anal, I understand, but that's kinda what we do.

Yeah. His slide was locked to the rear after running dry and his finger transitioned to straight and off the trigger.
