Tack some folks, myself included, have so little interest in the concept of momma/wife jokes we have never read the "agreement" you mention. Hell, I don't even know where it is.

Just throwing that out there as an honest alternate perspective.

My perspective is that you guys are welcome to make whatever jokes/agreements you want to. But I don't think it should come as any surprise, or point of irritation if that fits better, that some folks just don't see that kind of stuff the same way you guys do.

No, you don't need to take your like back. You, just like polebarn, are welcome to your opinion on the matter.

However, it should also be noted that those that don't know/don't agree with/don't participate with this "agreement" have never had a cross word said about their mothers.

Also, the "wife" and "kid" thing was just complete bullshit. There has been (to the best of my knowledge) ONE instance of someone talking bad about someone else's kids, and two instances of a wife being mentioned. Both times the FIRST people to jump all over the offending persons ass were those same "classless" people that pole was talking about. The first and the loudest.

Just throwing that out there as verifiable fact.

What comes as a surprise to me is that pole felt like it was his place to pass judgement on people for something that had absolutely nothing to do with him, and was not in any way an issue for any of the participants.
