I can't see how, no worse than the floor?
Mine are curved, mine are comfortable. Is it a huge price difference between straight and curved? I just can't see a good reason. I would also think that curved would have a better energy dispersion like a bell. Let me call my ballistic unicorn and confirm.
Mine also are curved and comfortable. If you are probably just going to wear them on date night or at the range.. flat will be fine. If TSHTF, you will be happy to have them.
If price is the same ..curved... also shooter or swimmer cut.. if you do not, you will see why very quickly.

Rule #2: Support your men.
Rule #3: TEAMWORK! Team dynamics are absolutely important. Know your men and support them in every way."
Shooter cut is a big must. Maybe curved for front flat for back to save cash. I'm cheap and poor.
When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always.
Shoot me with what? I trust the plates. If you buy me a set, I'll let you shoot me in them.

"We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-bitches, we're going to rip out their living goddamned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun cocksuckers by the bushel-fucking-basket. War is a bloody, killing business. You've got to spill their blood, or they will spill yours." - George S. Patton
