Hmmmm? That's damn near $200 for front & back coated & curved. Has ar500 gone up in $?

This I can address accurately, as I deal with this stuff far more frequently than I would like.


Yes. By about 75% in the last couple of years.

I can't address plate carriers and that stuff (possibly why the price appears to have gone down?) but "raw" ar500 has gone through the roof.

. . . a painful side note: Wanna turn ar500 into (functionally) mild steel? Weld on it, or cut it with a torch.

You did not know this ?? thats why it has to be cut with a Water Jet...
