The divisions that USPSA multi-gun recognizes are: Open, Limited, Tactical and Heavy Metal Tactical and Heavy Metal Limited. Tactical is the most popular, and it allows for one optic, magnified or not, on the rifle. Limited Division allows one NON-magnified optic and / or iron sights on the rifle.
