one must embrace the complexity of a good multi meat chili to truly grasp the magnitude of the possibility of the perfection that is GOOD chili.
to dumb it down with filler or extenders may be fine for 'bulk run' party pots is fine but excpect that you are simply settling for good enough.
To realty enjoy chili on a sublime, spiritual lever you must let yourself go and trust the cook to prepare a quality dish that will stand on its own merits such that the addition of some defile-ation with a starch will leave the pallet wanting for purity and a cleansing of beer.
and the beer is good.
but
it must not be necessary in order for the chili to be great.
