I've though of this alot.
Gold or silver don't work.

You're all doing it wrong. You go back with knowledge and you patented it. What would you have made by now if you had invented the AR? Or the Mac 10? Or the AK if you want to go back that far? You go back and launch a technological revolution with modern knowledge.
