I hope it's still on. This will be the first pin match for me, but I haven't shot my 1911 in over a year. All the recent talk about oil type, jams, and cleaning strategies got me thinking about the condition of my 1911. She has been sitting in an oil bath for a week. I hope that is enough! ;)

Simmoag, as long as it is not particularly flammable oil you should be good to go.

Folks, I will be missing this match.
Today, I took a day off. Completely range/work free.
It has been very difficult and I have not been completely successful (I was at the range for a little while today) but damnit I'm doing my best.
Kevin and/or Greg will be running the match this evening and as you regulars know they are both completely competent and capable of doing so.
Me? I'm going to just sit here and pet my little brown dog (she is clearly confused by all this)
. . . . and feel guilty. :(
It was a great shooting as usual, lots of surprises! Two new shooters (well they're only new to this, but otherwise are both competitive shooters and talon regulars)
Looking forward to next one.
