Not a fan of shulas.
I know you will appreciate this as a libertarian.
I order steak the way I like it and that's typically how they bring it to me. When you start buying me steak , then we'll talk.
I've been to shulas twice. First time out was so loud I could not hear the wife across the table from me.
Second time was better but I still do not get why some folks rave about the place.
It's not like the waitresses wear yoga pants or anything !
You aren't getting it though. The food was fine, not Ruth's Chris fine but Outback Steakhouse fine.

Marketing + Sheeple = $
Most people read what some supposed authority says is the best and that's what they want. Wine, food, guns, knives, etc.
The steak at a REAL Shula's is excellent. If your menu isn't coming on a football, it's not a real Shula's.
Shula's definitely isn't Morton's! At that price, you may as well have gone to Morton's.Quote:
We ate at shulas last night. Total tab came to $130. Woodchucks' steak is better.
I miss the Silver Slipper
Emerils Delmonico restaurant in Las Vegas makes every restaurant in Tallahassee appear eerily similar to Wendy's.
There are many great restaurants in this country and there are more than a few in Florida but I'm pretty confident none of them are in Tallahassee.
Don't get me wrong, there are good restaurants here but that's it.
I'll take FGF, and Cool Beanz and a few other local restaurants over most overpriced food I've had elsewhere.
However, I will admit that I have not traveled as far and wide as many, and my view might be highly parochial.
If it tastes good, it tastes good. I don't need a rectangle plate and cracked peppercorn avocado mayonnaise to think I'm getting a good meal. Adding fancy shit just for the sake of being fancy pisses me off.
Absolutely. No one said fancy was a requirement.
And that mayonnaise sounds nasty.
I've not had a bad meal. Now, their menu isn't the stuff I want all that often, so I have to be in a mood for high end comfort food.Quote:
was not at all impressed with FGF when we went a few months back. Cool beanz, never had a bad meal there.
FGF is awesome. The grouper on the Dinner menu is fabulous. The deserts are epic too.
Ok I have to ask, what is FGF??

Philly burger is insane, a burger topped with roast beef peppers, onions and cheese
It was good to put faces to screen names in most cases. But the food was even better.
I was the guy on the end that the new waitress kept checking out :naughty:
Not that there was a single thing wrong with those shorts BUT...... she'd set a pair of yoga pants on fire
:flamer:
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to swing it.
Your loss :yup:
Definitely wasn't able to make it last week.
