You didn't seem to shaky to me when you waxed my ass on pin tops at 200. :goodjob:

"We" need a connection there. I'd love to have a membership. Though that whole "no guns in the store" thing . . . not so much. I'd be willing to compromise and leave my backup in the car and just carry an extra magazine on top of the "normal" for my primary.
That's pretty reasonable, don't you think . . ??:p
I don't recall a no guns sign. I do recall Florida having a rule against open carry and hell.....like signs matter, just untuck your shirt. I told ya, y'all just have to convince JD and Charlie to give me the Amex and I'll do the company shopping. There hasn't been a Nature Valley Sweet 'n Salty in the proshop in months!!
YF, I'm quoting Arf 15 dot com, in March of this year:
My pistol(s) stay concealed when I am out and about, and I DO NOT respect 'private' no guns policies unless there is also a sign saying "We accept full and complete responsibility for your personal safety while you are on the premisses". This is more a conceptual issue, so don't take it personally or anything. I know where you stand on the issue, and I salute YOU.Quote:
I know others have probably known this for quite a while, but I did not.
Going over the Costco Membership Agreement and other policies, nothing firearm related is even mentioned. The doors are not posted. After reading on some other forums about Costco being against it's members carrying firearms while shopping, I decided to confirm or deny these claims myself.
I drove down to the local Costco, where I have been a member since August. I don't do much shopping there, but didn't mind letting them have my membership fee. I spoke with the girl at Member Services and told her that I was recently made aware that Costco restricted it's members carrying firearms, and as such I'd like to terminate my membership. She said she wasn't aware of such a policy. A Senior Manager was brought over. She had been working at Costco since 1999, and stated her husband has a concealed carry permit. She also was not aware of such a policy. We spent 20 minutes going over documentation, and noting that none of the entrances were posted.
She called up her corporate office, while asking her subordinate to check on their computer in their Costco Intranet for anything coming up under keyword "firearm". Jackpot. A company-wide memorandum stating that members are not permitted to bring a firearm inside Costco unless they are law enforcement. Shortly after finding the memorandum, the corporate office confirmed the memo and added that because Costco is a members-only club, and not a traditional retail store, that they by law are not required to post the entrances nor notify the members while they sign up. They said that furthermore, there is no violation of civil rights due to it being members-only.
While this may be misconstrued as me "stirring the pot" and making Costco aware of an otherwise forgotten policy, I felt it was more important to know whether Costco was an ally or an enemy when it comes to our rights. With that information, I was refunded my $110.00 membership fees. During our light conversation, I also pointed the Senior Manager to this story:

Again, something she had never even heard of.
. . but I'd still take a free (or deeply discounted) membership. Call me a discount whore. I may be cheap, but I'm certainly not easy. :roflmao:
Interesting. I wonder if it would be considered felony trespassing as there is no sign? I'd only call you a discount whore if you also wanted a Sam's Club card also. Yuck.
How much is a membership at Costco?
Go ahead and get the membership Rumbler. I go in with you on some ammo.
Hell yes! That's not a bad price for a two week supply .
Anyone's money is good here. PM inbound.
In many states, just being a member only thing doesn't absolve them of State Statutes. Of course Florida doesn't have force of law behind signs so it is moot. In Tennessee, they do, but they are required to post it a certain way or it doesn't matter. Same thing in Texas.
What the hell are we going to shoot in the fun match, rimfire rifles, handguns or are we going to chunk spears???????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????TIME SOME ONE DECIDES,SO PEOPLE CAN BRING THE RIGHT WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
I'm bringing the USP 45 and a .22 rifle although I can throw a spear in the back of the truck :-)
Tack, you put the funny faces every where but everyone knows you will never show up for a match.Doc better throw that spear in just in case we need it!!!!!!!
Hey guys.
You need to make a decision please. The weather man says this morning:
If you will show up and shoot, I'll dang sure set the match up and run it.Quote:
Scattered thunderstorms, especially during the evening. Low 73F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.
But if you are going to bail out, that is absolutely fine too, but frankly I'd rather not spend a couple of hours prepping the range and getting everything setup.
Just lemme know. I'll check this thread throughout the day (whenever I can).
Cant make it anyway.
I won't be able to make this one either.
Count me in.Maybe some of the others will respond!
I'm in . If you guys want to shoot you better speak up.
I'm planning on being there unless there's a large red blob right over the range showing on radar.
If it is flooding like it is now and lighting as it is,i do not want to hold a hot 45 in my hand.if it stops I will be there
Ken,that blob is right over Quincy now!
I don't care to shoot in the rain but Jeff and myself will both shoot if it stops.
Mike said that he's going to call this match due to participation and weather. See you guys next week though
Quote:
Showers and thunderstorms continuing through late evening. Mostly cloudy with temperatures steady in the upper 70s. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
True. And just for the record guys, this is what I based the call on in terms of weather.
We shooting tomorrow night? If so what is the fun match? I need to know what to bring.
Thought Mike said something about plates with centerfire handguns, but that may have been the voices again, not sure.
That is what we were supposed to shoot last week,so I assume that is what it is!
Unless you guys want to do something different, steel head plates with centerfire handguns sounds good to me.:)
Sounds good to me!
Muy Beuno!
Okie dokie. I'll be there. New trigger in the H&K. Hope it helps :-)
See y'all in a few.
Alright, fellows what it is going to be this week for the fun match? we need to decide to where everyonr knows what weapons to bring.Doc be sure and put your spear in the truck, you how weird Rumbler can be so be ready.
I could be mistaken.
But I thought that popular consensus was reached last Thursday to shoot the head plates again this week. I'm certainly OK with whatever you guys want to do. But it is not like most folks didn't find those plates . . . . challenging.:)
I'm GTG with the plates again.
match still on tonight or is the rain an issue?
<<<< wants to know as well.
im going anyway
Rain has stopped. I'm setting up the tables and stuff.
What kind of group cancels if it's raining?
:poke:
Army vs. Navy vs. Marines vs. AirForce?
Nah man, Bowling Pin League vs. C4!
Jmw4570,what do you expect from someone that is so low to the ground.Besides if you put that cake up on a high table he could not reach it anyway.
We can settle this. We'll send AB over to shoot pins, and you guys send TS over to C4.
Wait...................
