Just something to consider but you might want to get him something that travels well. Not sure if he is flying in or driving from class to class.
I'm in, but the idea seems a bit silly. If hes an avid bass fisherman I'm sure he has tools for his avocation.

I did not think presenting someone with a small gift in show of appreciation (not only for the class but for his overall service to our country) would fall into the "silly" category... just another example I suppose as to how we see things differently.

I think it would be cool if we could come up with something that represented us, though. I like the idea but think it would be cool to get something with more local flavor. I wish we had time to make some 1911 grips with the Signal-0 logo on it or something. But I doubt we could pull that off.
Anyway, I'm in and trust your judgement on the gift. Just rambling.
