    WANTED... Varget

If anyone happens to locate VARGET in stock... please shoot me an e-mail. I'm needing about 5lbs. (I know, so is every other reloader...).

No joy here, Bob. Even at the distributor level 99.9% of the powders , , , including Varget, are nowhere to be found. We had to buy 16 pounds of some Swedish; Valapahooochie, powder to load for classes.
I'd rather be lucky than good, but I'd rather KNOW I'm good than HOPE to get lucky.

I know... I was just wondering if anyone had a secret stash.... wishful thinking I'm sure.

I have 8lbs of IMR 4895, 10 lbs of AA 2520, and 5 lbs of W-748 so I'm not at a loss... just want to duplicate the NATO M118 round. I have notes that indicate Varget is the powder to use with the 175gr SMK.

I have gotten WELL sub-moa using that bullet out of IMR 4064, and Hodgdon BC-C(2) also (BC-C(2) started out as a military powder for the 7.62x51).

. . . just in case you didn't already know about them, though I'd bet my whiskers that you do.

Course, while I've got a few pounds of 4064, I've only got about a half-pound of BL-C2. I load for my gas gun (M1A) using that powder.

Luck is what it takes . Powder goes out of stock within minutes of being listed.

Keep me in mind when you stop by local shops... I'm good for 5 lbs at say a max of $30 a lb. or so.
