carbide sizing buttons for rifle dies.

I am happy with theese..they work good, or good enough for me at this point.
While not a bushing die setup, and not sure how much distortion in the neck they make,
It should be less than a standard expander.

    I like them.

I am skeptical about the 'self-centering' claim.

As I see it the only way that can work is if the stem is smaller in diameter than the hole in the "ball". Wouldn't that allow the ball to cant to some degree? Potentially causing a non-centered (egg shaped) case neck?

I dunno. I'm not that smart. But I am skeptical none the less.

Expander ball is drilled to just slightly over the diameter of the stem..it slides on the stem, and is held in place by what looks like a undersized standard expander....

    No lube required..
Now if a scientific test to see what the diffrence in runout and neck centering/ stretching would be between cases of known neck runout dimensions using both a unlubed carbide expander and a lubed standard expander, I would like to see that test, but I do not have the equipment to do it

Good idea, Mapper. Anyone got a runout tool we can use for a test?

    Hornady makes a good one . . .
