Anyone have a program for load development

I'm wanting to see if I can get some load data for the .30 Herret using bullets in the 125-130 gr range with Accurate #9 powder.

I have load data for this with other magnum handgun powders such as W-296, H110, and IMR-4227.

Accurate e-mailed me limited .30 Herret data but it only lists rifle powders such as 2200, 2230, and 1680, of course the 1680 can be used for large magnum guns such as the .500 S&W.

Does the program Quick Load allow for such estimating?

Bob, I don't know for certain but http://www.loaddata.com might be worth taking a look at. I have often found it pretty useful for help with load development.

From what I have heard about quickload, it does a better job with bottlenecked rifle cartridges than pistol,I thought about it at one time for the things it would do as far as pressure curves with diffrent powders and projectiles, but never got it.

I would not mind kicking the tires on it.

The .30HRT is a wildcat... it's a 6.8SPC case formed in a .30 Herret die, trimmed to length, and then fire-formed. The result is a .30 cal AR15 round that is great for deer out to about .30-30 Win range limits. The .30HRT is comparable to the 7.62x39.

With the Nosler 125gr BT and W-296, I get about 2450 FPS. I've killed two nice 8-points with no problem.

I don't want to step backwards... FPS wise. I've not seen any 125gr data that approaches 2500 FPS... I'm at 2450 now with 125gr BT's.

I asked a friend to do a run in quickload for a 7 rem magnum and 150 and 160 sierra game kings And reloder 33.

This was the output he sent me.
This was his notes:

ran with stock capacity if you got me his case capacity i could get you closer. r33 is a slow powder so i don't think you can get enough in the case to blow anything up. take note to the fill percent they will be compressed loads

So it looks like a good tool, I have seen other runs in diffrent calibers help to give a insight on usable powders.

There is also a program where you can design cases, and use numbers from that as well, I haven't seen any output though.
