Well that was definitely a lucid presentation. Very interesting, thanks for posting Bob. Have you ever installed/removed a full auto trigger group? If so, is it as straightforward as the semi auto?:cooler:

It's very simple.
One you get the gun out of the sock puppet it's just a pin and a doo hickey.
Yeager showed me how to do it when we were waiting on a. Ambush in Baghdad.

AG, good video.

I looked for a video of an open bolt "how it works" but couldn't find one to post. Open bolts were extremely simple, like the Thompson machine guns, yet a lot of people don't know the term or how they work. If you run across a good informative video, post it. THX

If you are talking about the M16 system, yes it is just as staightforward. I'm not Bob, but I've removed/replaced/installed hundreds if not thousands.

How about one that shows how the 3-round burst works?

I had an opportunity to work on a 3RB rifle not too long ago. That trigger group is damn ingenious!

It's also noteworthy to point out that because of the cam, you don't always get three shots per trigger pull when you switch to burst... the number of shots initially depends on where in the cycle the cam is orientated. Sometimes you get just one shot... making you think something is wrong... it's not, it's just finished the last round of the three round cycle. Also, it's not uncommon to get 6 rounds per burst...

True. Not many trigger groups will give you the full burst on the second pull if you come off the trigger before the first burst is done. The MP5 will, but that trigger group is very complicated!
