it is diffrent, it sizes like rifle brass, sort of.. meaning it has to be lubed, but the dies have to touch the shellholder, so none of the "I'll bump the shoulder back 0.002" rules apply, as most of the sizing happens near the base of the case.
The plunk test passed in the rifle and pistol, so dies are set up.
The rest of the load is just like pistol, I'm using hornady dies, but not using the expander die as it does nothing beneficial,
For a powder die I'm using a rifle charge die with a 45 acp insert from lee, autodisc sets on top of that to dispense powder,
The projectiles are 40 gr flat base hornet bullets, and need to be lined up pretty good when seating, or the case gets mangled
A chamfer on the case mouth would seem to help, I'll try that sometime.
I read a lot of places about powder and charge weights, and everything I saw pointed to about 10.8-11.1 gr of h 110, I saw some loaded to 11.8 with chrono data, and pictures of cases, and it did not exhibit the pressure spike that h110 is known to have at max+ loads
The chrono data was still lenear, so I'm trying 10.8 gr to start,
I haven't shot these yet, but I'll list chrono data when I do.
It ought to be a cheap little round to load, about the same as a 45 acp.
