I almost never see LEO trades in 9mm. As a mater of fact 357 Sig is more common.

Right, cause it's a great round when someone else is paying for your ammo. When you have to fork over that kind of dough though...

.20 per round for 9mm vs .70 per round .357 Sig. That's a significant difference just for training ammo. No one is using +p or +p+ for training.
357 Sig is a nice SD round, but I can't afford to shoot it.

Reloaded 357 Sig is about 35 cents a round. Still more than reloaded 9mm, but not quite twice the price.

I had a Glock 32 in .357 I loved it but thats one snappy round. I used to shoot CCI Blazer through it until they stopped making it in alum case, then it became expensive so I sold it to I think.

How is the pressure on the brass ? I have heard it is tough. I would like a full size for work, but if I get anything other than .40 I have to provide my own ammo, then I also lose compatability with others on my shift.

Dale can you get cheap 17 or 22 mags?

Not at this time. Here is how used mags usually work. Police departments trade out old busted for new hotness. Distributors separate all the mags and sell the guns with 1 mag and then sell the extra mags separately. Since I don't see used G17's or G22's very often, I don't see mag deals.

I will keep an eye out for mag deals.

And whatever you do, stay away from the Asian ones.

Dale I kinda figured that was how it was working, but thought I would ask just in case. Thanks for the heads up on the Asian ones, I will remember that. The mags I am looking for are for mag change training ONLY, so I am not concerned about how well they work. So what are the cheapest 17/22 mags you can get?

If that is the case, the korean ones will be fine. Just don't trust them for anything more.

The korean mags are very sneaky. They will work fine and one day for no freaking reason they stop working. Or worse yet you drop one with a few rounds in it and the base plate breaks off and well.. Shit happens.

Metal, for truck/tractor guns. The 30s are longer than the pistol grip and tend to get in the way.
