We're havin a party!
You guys all know how this works. It's gonna be as awesome as ya'll make it. I'm happy to coordinate shit, but I suck at it.
So....
We need ideas for the following:
Date -
Time -
Location -
Food -
We are gonna have BR handle decorations and Tack is supplying "entertainment". Jonas is in charge of doing nothing, so we know that part is in good hands.
Put your suggestions in here, I'll throw them all in a bag and randomly draw shit out till it comes together.
Keep the thread somewhat clean and on point PLEASE. It makes my life easier, and I know you all want that for me right?

You don't know what you're talking about. Your slanderous bullshit is more insulting that we are being with the momma jokes. The FACTS are that these gentlemen have entered into an agreement with each other about what is except-able ribbing and what is not. They have categorically refrained from wife and kid jokes.
Who calls a group of friends having fun classless citing false accusations as proof? How classy is that?

Oh damn. Does this mean I need to take my "like" back? :roflmao:
Tack some folks, myself included, have so little interest in the concept of momma/wife jokes we have never read the "agreement" you mention. Hell, I don't even know where it is.
Just throwing that out there as an honest alternate perspective.
My perspective is that you guys are welcome to make whatever jokes/agreements you want to. But I don't think it should come as any surprise, or point of irritation if that fits better, that some folks just don't see that kind of stuff the same way you guys do.

I know that was directed at Tack, but I'll throw my .02 in anyway.
No, you don't need to take your like back. You, just like polebarn, are welcome to your opinion on the matter.
However, it should also be noted that those that don't know/don't agree with/don't participate with this "agreement" have never had a cross word said about their mothers.
Also, the "wife" and "kid" thing was just complete bullshit. There has been (to the best of my knowledge) ONE instance of someone talking bad about someone else's kids, and two instances of a wife being mentioned. Both times the FIRST people to jump all over the offending persons ass were those same "classless" people that pole was talking about. The first and the loudest.
Just throwing that out there as verifiable fact.
My perspective is that we are welcome to make whatever jokes/agreements we want to. What comes as a surprise to me is that pole felt like it was his place to pass judgement on people for something that had absolutely nothing to do with him, and was not in any way an issue for any of the participants.
But hey, what do I know? I'm just a poor ole', classless, redneck.

Honestly I/we are concerned most about whoever shoots having completed the paperwork new (to Talon) shooters need to do. I'm fairly certain that there will be enough Talon members on hand to 'piggyback' a reasonable number of folks without anyone having to pay a regular 'daily shooter' fee.
But that paperwork thing . . . no slack there. :cooler:

The plan was folks coming between 4-6 to shoot (if they wanted) and then gatherin' up at 6 to eat, drink, and be merry.
I was just thinking about it earlier today and thought it would be good to get it out there so no one was surprised, that's all.

We've been working up to shooting real guns. He'd had no exposure to anything except Call of Duty and 21 Jumps Street until I introduced him the Red Ryder and some airsoft stuff a couple weeks back.
Singular, bro. It's singular...

Not to worry. I have duct tape in silver AND black - for easy color coordination (or identification, as necessary).
You don't have any of the cool christmas tape???

So Kristen is making a couple batches of the corn casserole. Here's the rub, we'll be there early to shoot a little bit. Will there be a way to keep the stuff warm until serving time? They'll be in foil pans, so they can sit on top of a grill or be in one shortly before it's time to eat.

I have a short bed truck full it really depends on how big it is going to get, in my wood stove this is enough wood for a couple of weeks in my 42" fire ring a long night... bigger than that ?????????????
I also threw in a good stick of fat wood to help get all this wet wood going.

Almost everyone I talked to last night also commented on the diversity of the group, which seems funny because an outsider would tend to lump us together as a bunch of gun toting rednecks. SHTW said she was surprised at the education/intelligence level of the group........... then she met Ike and the law of averages kicked in :headslap:

Ike has a pretty fair amount of education too, even if it is from Northern Universities. It's all a persona that he portrays, don't be fooled.

Ike's a class guy, he'll be mad at me for tarnishing his mediocre reputation though............
