I recently have had some VERY bad experiences with cheap plated bullets (9mm). Since I shoot a Glock 17L, lead was out of the question for long term use. Then I heard out these Bayou Bullets that have a coating on the lead that causes the bullets not to foul. They also do not smoke. But they are suppose to retain the same properties as lead bullets (in terms of charge and velocities). So I thought, why not give them a try. I got a sample of 150 115gr and 150 124gr. Since I am only trying for 125 power factor, either weight can work easily. And since shooting is a action/reaction deal, theoretically, if they have the same power factor, the felt recoil will be the same.

My question has to deal with velocities and lead bullets. Granted for what I am looking for (~1090ft/s vs ~1010ft/s) there is not much of a difference in velocities. But is there any difference in the amount of deposits in those two velocities? Is there any advantage that I am unaware of for one weight over the other?
