Oh my.

JD done got me some dies in hand and some "magnum" bullets on order.

I have not looked forward to something with so much anticipation in a long time . . . .

I think that I am going to need to add some steel to the bullet trap.:chinscratch:

There are published loads saying 300gr at 2250FPS. This is going to be very serious fun!

You gotta like a revolver where a .45 Long Colt is like a .22 short and .454 Casull is like a .22 long.

That surely does not suck.

You gonna' shoot pins with it?

No. Believe it or not it would take to long to recover from the recoil to ever win.

If I remember correctly one round was shot at the pins when JD first got the revolver.

. . . I had to replace the deflector plate on the front of the table - it was beyond repair (the shot hit low).

I am figuring a 300gr bullet at 2250 will do quite nicely

. . . as a starting load. :goodjob:

Yes Rumbler I witnessed that shot to the table.

Please dont shoot that thing into the bullet trap. We will be fixin the wall behind it. The trap is not rifle rated.:D

I was just kidding. The thickest steel we have is about 3/4". That certainly isn't going to stop one of those bullets. :roflmao:

Make one helluva hunting pistol for those places where it's shotgun/pistol only.

Rumbler ,just remember not to awing the cylinder closed, but use you hand to close it.Do not need another TS pistol going back to factory.ie warped crane.

You can damage one that way? Sounds like a piece of shit.

Its an issue on most big bore revolvers. The cylinder weights a ton, even more when loaded. The crane isn't designed to be used that way.

It comes a ratio to scale thing. The bigger those revolvers get, the more torque on the crane when it is open. There are no big bore DA revolvers made that can handle flopping the cylinder shut. Its one thing on a .38 spl and another on a hog leg.

Tack, one 460 S&W round weighs as much as a whole handful of 9mm. Can you damage a Glock by shooting a whole handful of rounds through it simultaneously?

Can't do that? Sounds like a piece of shit.

Point made? :)

No. Not at all. You can't be "too rough" in use with a Glock.

you can damage a 38 spl or 357 mag doing the same thing I have seen that on a mod 36S&W

Rumbler,

Maybe you can post when you plan on shooting this cannon so those of us over here in Quincy can put on our ear protection.

The first time I shot it at the range, I went up to my office at the Ram building. When I walked through the door, one of the guys in the front office ask what in the hell we were shooting a few minutes ago. Mjolnir (Thor's Hammer) is what my son calls it.

Holy poop stacks!

I loaded some development cartridges finally. Just a few. get a load (pun intended) of this:

240gr jacketed hollow point
over 48.5 gr of H110.

Can you imagine . . . . :omfg:

That is about 2.5 times as much powder as I load in my very "best" 300BLK loads with a bullet weighing 2/3 as much.

I'm telling ya if I was a big badass polar bear, I would turn around and run from someone carrying a wheel gun full of those cartridges! :escape:

I'd bet my boots they couldn't ignore the bullet impacts. That load has got to make like a kagillion tons of energy! ;)

Rumbler, does that 48.5gr fill up the case all the way to the bullet base?
