OK. It's after the 1st of the year. Time changed already so it is still daylight at 7:00. Are you guys ready to shoot? I would like to shoot Thursday if anyone is interested. I talked with three more yesterday that said they want to shoot. You young guns get a box of bullets and come on out. Show those old farts what you got. Who is coming?

I showed up throughout Jan & Feb without anybody else but Tyler and Mike showing up so I gave up in the last couple of weeks. I still try to make Thursdays my range day so I may still be out there.

Gents, I had a blast last night! It's nice to finally meet you Johnny, I wouldn't have been able to tell you were sick the way you were handling the 1911.

To anyone who hasn't been to a bowling pin match, you really should check it out. Someone who didn't hit a single pin in the first round couldn't miss the second round and vise-versa. That little added "stress" of shooting against someone is great training. It really forces you to focus on the fundamentals of shooting. All in all it was a really good time with some good people. I hope to be able to attend next week.

E$ there are 5 pins on a table first one to knock all the pins off the table wins. Any of the guys that shoot pins will beat you if you use a 460. It takes to long to recover from the recoil of the 460.

its that new math where 2+1+3= whatever you feel it should. But yeah its 5 pins in a line with a few inches between them. sometimes after the match we will arrange them in different patterns, which can lead to interesting results

Well, after I read the actual executive order declaring the state of emergency, I saw that the governor delegated the powers authorized under FS 252.36 (5)-(10) to the coordinating officer. Doesn't mean they have to exercise those powers because they are to be exercised at the discretion of the governor, but as of the date of that order, they have definitely been enacted. I agree that it's a non-issue, since they didn't even suspend alcohol sales, but the powers are definitely in play. Reference EO 17-235.so it's a non issue, but could be a real issue if we had a socialist turd in the governors office; remember that at election time.

That he was. RDS helps too. Still, one dead heat, one to me and one to him (I needed to beat him twice). That second run was what I needed again on the third. Too many misses there. I was shooting like I was still hunting pheasants or shooting skeet. Slap the trigger and watch the target (proper wing shooting procedure), rather than . . . well, see post above.

OK, that's a new one for me. Seems like uniformity would be a problem and accuracy might suffer. But I don't reload or cast boolets so what do I know?

As much as I hate to say it, I'm thinking not. Rain's picked up in the last 30 minutes and the radar is looking like a steady band rolling in throughout the rest of the day.
