Smitty

Hey, didn't see this covered, since I tried it out this morning I figured I'd share. I'm a left handed shooter, and I didn't want an ambi safety on my AR. So I pulled my grip off(being sure not to lose the spring and detent), and flipped my selector switch around to the other side of the gun. From what I found online the switch is purposely built this way only on newer Colt models, but possible there are other brands that do it too. Attached are a couple of pics, one show the detent holes on either side of the switch, the other shows the switch in its new position on the "wrong side", seems to function as normal with no issues. My switch wasn't easy to remove as those on YouTube, so I did have to remove and replace the hammer and trigger group to get it in and out, but that was pretty simple as well. Hope this helps.
