Because anyone buying one of these mighty mini lights surely has a bigger one that uses 123's?

I think its just because that is what our distributor is doing. Generally these are promotions that a retailer wouldn't pass on to the consumer, it would just allow them to stock up on two things and increase margin a bit.

However I will be glad to give you 2 AAA's and keep the 123's if you order. Thats because I am a nice guy.
